Users who renew an Annual Travel Pass

To renew your Annual Travel pass and continue using it as of January 1, 2021, you will have to pay the corresponding amount, through a payment letter, at one of the collaborating financial entities.

In those cases in which the annual pass loaded on the card expires, the communication will indicate that it is also necessary to go to a management office to update the travel pass and that it remains valid from January 1.

How to obtain the payment letter

The CRTM will send a communication at the end of November to the users who have the 2020 Annual Pass. Along with the communication, a payment letter will be received in which the amount to be paid appears. Where to pay the renewal of your Annual Travel Pass

Payment must be made using the letter of payment, between December 1 and 31 of this year at:

  • Bankia: at ATMs and at the teller window of branches with cashier services. Also in the mobile app "Pay bills".
  • Caixabank: at ATMs.
  • Internet: through electronic banking of financial entities, or through the following links that lead to valid payment gateways for customers and non-customers of these entities.

Payment methods accepted:

  • In cash: at those ATMs set up by Bankia and at the teller window of branches with a cashier service.
  • By financial card: on all channels; Bankia and Caixabank ATMs, Bankia branches (only Bankia cards) and online, through the electronic banking of the collaborating entities.

The validity of your annual card will end on December 31, so, in case of not making the deposit within the deadline, your card will stop working on January 1 of 2021.

In case of renewal, from January 20, you will receive at your address the invoice for the payment of your Annual Travel Pass for 2021. You can also download it from https://tarjetatransportepublico.crtm.es/anual/entrada.aspx.

For any other circumstance (loss of the card, change of zone of the Annual Travel Pass, etc.) you can go to one of the management offices of the Public Transport Card, except the offices of the EMT of Madrid, Parla and Valdemoro. Attention, only by appointment.

    • Current photo, whose colour and size must be similar to the passport one (except you request it in the management office, where the photo is taken in situ).
    • ID, passport or residence authorization.
    • Application.
    • Other documents:

      • If you meet the criteria to obtain a discount for being a member of a large family, you must present the certificate of large family or  the certificate attesting this condition, which can be downloaded from the APP Tarjeta Familia Numerosa.
      • If you meet the criteria to obtain a discount for disability, you must present the certificate of disability (equal or higher than 65%).
      • If the requesting party is 14 years old and does not have an ID, he/she must present the Family Book or the birth certificate. In addition, he/she must present a printed authorization of his/her parents/guardian and the ID of his/her parents/guardian.

    In the event that a person other than the cardholder attends, they must do so with an authorization and the holder's original documents (except for a minor who would not need authorization).
